Made in the USA: Peerless-AV’s Recent Installations
Over the past year, the team at Peerless-AV® had the pleasure of assisting in installations that posed unique challenges but ended with amazing results. Today, we are taking a look back at some of the recent installations Peerless-AV participated in right here in the USA.
Savoy Automobile Museum
Located in Cartersville, Georgia, the Savoy Automobile Museum features exhibits and events to showcase automobile history in the new, 65,000-square-foot institution. The museum is now home to an enormous direct view LED (dvLED) display that was an installation collaboration between LG and Peerless-AV.
With the help of the SEAMLESS dvLED Video Wall Integration Program, the Peerless-AV team conducted onsite consultation and engineering support to create a mount for the 18-foot by 31-foot curved stage display, 10-foot by 24-foot tilted display in the great hall, concave 16-foot by 16-foot cabinet display, and 12-foot by 9-foot custom convex video wall, using two SEAMLESS Bespoke dvLED Mounting Systems and a standard flat-to-wall mounting system.
With the tilts and curves to the displays posing a distinct challenge to the installations, the Peerless-AV team was able to use the innovative mounting systems to successfully complete the job, delivering an enchanting digital experience for museum visitors.
World-Renowned University
Approached by McCann Systems for a world-renowned university, the Peerless-AV team assisted in installing two dvLED video wall systems with the challenge of working within the existing architecture of the building; a square space with low ceilings.
With the goal of creating a more immersive remote learning environment for students of the university, Unilumin provided the dvLED displays that the Peerless-AV team would design, engineer, and create a custom SEAMLESS Bespoke Mounting System for. Peerless-AV custom-designed two 180-degree, 33-foot wide by 10-foot high pedestal mounting structures that are bolted to the floor to accommodate 168 Unilumin UpanelS 1.5 displays. The SEAMLESS dvLED Video Wall Integration Program by Peerless-AV guarantees full support from start to finish, from the custom mounting systems to on-site installation support.
The entire Peerless-AV dvLED Solutions Team was there every step of the way to ensure all goals of this project were met. The university was extremely pleased with both video wall installations, successfully creating the ideal environment for virtual classes.
Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook
Mohegan Sun is now home to the largest, sportsbook video wall on the East Coast thanks to the work of AV integrator, Solutionz, Unilumin, and of course, the SEAMLESS dvLED Video Wall Integration Program of Peerless-AV.
This 140-foot by 15-foot curved, digital display wall was created with 2.5mm dvLED displays from Unilumin. Its 10-ton weight was supported with a custom SEAMLESS Bespoke dvLED Mounting System.
The team faced complex challenges in addition to the difficult task of the weight and curvature of this structure. Peerless-AV was able to call out the half-inch, vertical expansion gap between the main video wall section and each of the side sections which raised concerns about the potential snow loading deflection and how it would impact the different sides of this video wall.
Through collaboration and problem solving with the Mohegan Sun structural team, the installation was carried on to fit the existing architecture of the facility. With Peerless-AV’s mounting system framework and the hard work of these collaborating teams, the colossal video wall was successfully installed, leaving the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook with a massive, captivating digital wall.
