Impressive Holiday Displays Around the World

Whatever the tradition, glimmering lights and impressive digital signage displays have been a part of holiday celebrations for many years. As a worldwide leader in the AV industry, we are always amazed to see how brands stand out and draw customers in with their storefront displays.

Read on for our roundup of some of our favorite retail displays this holiday season!

Selfridges, London

In 1909, Selfridge founder Harry Gordon Selfridge carried over his American way of retail and began creating beautiful storefront displays for Christmas each year. This year’s theme is “Christmas of Dreams”, with inspiration from 1930s Hollywood visions and technicolor musicals from the 50s.

Bloomingdale’s, New York City

New York City is home to many of the world’s most iconic neighborhoods, restaurants, and shops. This year the American luxury department store chain, Bloomingdale’s, themed its 59th street flagship window in accordance with their “Give Happy” holiday campaign.  The billion dollar company chose to deck out the window in over-the-top, nostalgic decor to embody cheer and optimism in brilliant colors and lights.

Galeries Lafayette, Paris

In keeping with tradition, the facades of Parisian department stores, such as Galeries Lafayette, are adorned with some of the most festive decorations each year. This year’s theme was, “1,2,3 Christmas!” which called for a surreal, vintage window display in which toys awaken to a train-like sleigh and come to life in a series of 11 scenes with a rockstar Santa Claus.
