The Horrors of Blumhouse
At Universal Orlando, visitors can test how tough their “scream squad” is by visiting one of the 10 haunted houses as part of Halloween Horror Nights. Particularly, “The Horrors of Blumhouse” includes a chase from a serial killer and an evil kidnapper. Without the help of special effects lighting and high-fidelity sound, this attraction may not live up to its terrifying hype.
Netherworld Haunted House
At Fearworld located in Georgia, those who dare can enter Netherworld Haunted House or play “Escape Games” during the Halloween season. This horrifying experience includes escaping from parasitic zombies and other gory creatures. This haunted experience uses a variety of AV technology such as special effects lighting, projectors, and digital signage to make the experience that much more frightening.
Indy Scream Park
At Indy Scream Park in Indiana, Killgore’s 3D Circus threatens to come back into town. Visitors can walk around the “abandoned” circus grounds only to find they may not be alone. With the help of AV technology, this mesmerizing 3D experience will leave guests with more fear than they came with.
The Field of Screams
At Scary Pines in Kansas, only the bravest venture out to the Field of Screams. Here, they will find an indoor haunted clown attraction featuring live actors and special effects. Using high-quality sound installations and special effects lighting, the Field of Screams comes to life in the worst ways imaginable.
While we may not immediately think of the horrors AV technology can be capable of, the Halloween season is always a great reminder of how creativity can be enhanced with the help of both audio and visual solutions.
