Scary Good AV Displays & Virtual Tours for Halloween!
It’s officially the spookiest time of the year! Here at Peerless-AV, we love a scary-good use of digital signage and technology, especially during Halloween. See below for a look at some of our favorite spooky seasonal experiences that received some help from technology to reach the maximum scare-factor!
Eastern State Penitentiary
This popular East-coast attraction used to be the most famous and expensive prison in the world, but it now stands in ruin with crumbling cell blocks and empty guard towers. The site offers visitors the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in 4 different haunted houses, 1 walk-through experience, and 3 live, interactive performances. One of the main haunted houses, Delirium, includes a spooky 3D, mind-altering walk through murals and lights – Made possible with the help of simple technology! Scary, psychedelic projections and lighting come to life in Kaleidoscope Hall for one of the most thrilling attractions in the U.S.!
Brighton Asylum
Shut down in 1952 due to staff and patient disappearances, as well as intolerable living conditions, Brighton Asylum is a massive walk-through dark attraction filled with terrifying live actors, horror movie style scares, and Hollywood-quality special effects. Featured on The Today Show, Cake Boss, Buzzfeed, visited by actor James Franco, and countless others around the world, this action-packed and terrifying experience showcases some of the most impressive displays, audio and visual effects to haunt guests!
Winchester Mystery House
One of the world’s most sprawling and unusual mansions (with over 110 rooms!), the Winchester Mystery House® is an architectural wonder and historic landmark in San Jose, CA that was once the personal residence of Sarah Lockwood Pardee Winchester. Now transformed into a famous landmark, the house attracts both in-person and virtual guests to explore the long-rumored stomping ground for ghosts and other supernatural occurrences!
Lizzie Borden House
It may seem strange that such a gruesome true crime case is now a Halloween destination. But the Lizzie Borden house, rumored to be haunted by Lizzie, her father, and her stepmother themselves, provides an awesome virtual tour on the house’s website. This experience is both mysterious and just the right amount of Halloween creepy!
On behalf of everyone at Peerless-AV, we wish you a safe and Happy Halloween!
