On February 11, UNESCO and UN-Women lead the annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science with the goal of raising awareness, achieving gender parity in educational opportunity, and scientific participation across the globe!

This year’s theme is centered around celebrating all of the women scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. In the AV space, we are proud to be members of many organizations and initiatives that support women in science. Read on to learn more about some of the amazing groups in the AV industry!

The Women’s Council of Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) is comprised of both men and women who support women within the technology and AV industry. The AVIXA council members and other professionals are provided with a global community through career empowerment alliances and local groups.
