Happy Halloween from Peerless-AV! As AV experts, we’re always seeking the most unique applications of technology, and Halloween is no exception. Just take a look at some of the spookiest, most tech-heavy haunted houses we could find! Everything about this holiday screams fun and that includes re-watching some of our favorite scary and not-so-scary classics. Maybe one of yours is below?

Our AV Experts’ Favorite Halloween Movies

Scream- Though this one led to some spoofs, it is one solid scary film. It totally revitalized the genre while managing to be equal parts tongue-in-cheek satire and real scares. We hope you know the rules of horror films—you’ll need them to survive this one.

A Nightmare on Elm Street- Freddy Krueger has certainly become an iconic horror movie villain. Just be sure not to sleep—not that you will after this one.

The Nightmare Before Christmas- A family favorite because it isn’t terribly scary, is animated, and touches on other holidays.

Casper Meets Wendy- Another family film that our children enjoy—it’s a classic story of good vs. evil with a happy ending that leaves you smiling, unlike many other ghost stories.

It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown- Our family has been watching Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang celebrate every holiday for years. It is a family tradition we make a point of continuing around Halloween every year, even as adults. It is a true nostalgic moment.

The Strangers- A truly original and really scary movie with a simple, yet terrifying, premise.

Shaun of the Dead- Technically a horror spoof, but one that has heart, incredible humor, and some truly scary moments.
