Case Study Overview: Blinders Sports Lounge
Blinders Sports Lounge, a new hospitality venture in Charlotte, NC, envisioned creating a Las Vegas-style, immersive sportsbook and entertainment destination. To bring this high-impact concept to life, OmShera Holdings partnered with experiential design experts, DCBolt Productions, and AV technology leader, Peerless-AV®, to engineer a world-class audiovisual experience that would redefine sports viewing in a lounge setting.
Launched in early 2024 and completed by March 2025, the project centered around building a state-of-the-art 57’ wide x 22’ high 14K UHD dvLED video wall, set to be one of the most immersive displays of its kind in a hospitality venue. The installation, carefully planned over multiple phases, also featured a custom 50,000-watt VOID Acoustics audio system and a fully integrated AV network. Every component was carefully selected to deliver high performance, long-term durability, and visual impact, aligning with the venue’s high-end design.
Key challenges included a tight timeline leading up to March Madness and The Masters PGA, with a soft opening set for March 14 and grand opening on March 20, 2025. Peerless-AV’s SEAMLESS Bespoke Floor-to-Wall dvLED mounting system addressed structural and cooling needs while maintaining precise alignment across all three axes. The video wall was built with a custom 10-degree tilt to maximize viewing comfort from booth seating throughout the lounge.
DCBolt engineered and installed a high-fidelity audio system, strategically placing VOID Acoustics’ Nexus 6 arrays, Airten horns, and gold-plated Cyclone 55 speakers throughout the space to ensure optimal coverage, deep bass, and crystal-clear sound.
In three stages, the teams completed video wall assembly, cabinet population (175 dvLED 1.8mm pitch panels), and Crestron-based CMS programming for content flexibility. Final AV tuning and system checks were completed just days before launch.
The result was a high-end sports lounge that seamlessly transitioned into a nightclub atmosphere at the touch of a button. Blinders Sports Lounge now offers guests an ultra-premium experience combining ultra-HD visuals, immersive sound, and a stylish, energetic ambiance unlike anything else in the region.
