This is one of our favorite times of year at Peerless-AV. As AV experts, we are always keen on checking out holiday digital signage, light displays, and all festive uses of technology.
The applications we most easily and fondly remember are most often themed storefronts and displays.
I enjoy reminiscing nostalgic holiday moments, but because AV is such a huge part of my life, I certainly can’t help but think of how its integration into the holiday season helps evoke holiday spirit. Just take a look at the most magical store fronts of 2017.
Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue has created holiday-themed window displays for over 90 years. This year’s theme is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The display features one dozen meticulously designed scenes from the film. It’s one not to miss.
Macy’s
Macy’s was the very first department store to engage guests with holiday window displays—in 1974. This year’s display, “The Perfect Gift Brings People Together,” features bears adorning Christmas trees, a busy ice skating rink, Santa himself, and much more!
Bloomingdale’s
This year’s theme, the “Greatest Holiday Windows,” features scenes from the new movie The Greatest Snowman. The windows are made up of costumes and props embellished with more than 7,600,000 Swarovski crystals.
Bergdorf Goodman
This year’s display by Bergdorf Goodman, “To New York With Love,” is modeled after seven different iconic attractions in New York. Just check out these Swarovski encrusted dinosaurs, a nod to the Natural History Museum.
