Case Study Overview: LuLu’s Public House
LuLu’s Public House, a popular food and beverage destination at the Minnesota State Fair, sought to streamline its customer experience and improve operational efficiency during peak attendance. Facing challenges from outdated printed menus and heavy foot traffic, LuLu’s partnered with Peerless-AV® to implement a dynamic digital signage solution that modernized the ordering process and enhanced guest satisfaction.
Completed in August 2024, the project involved installing outdoor and indoor digital menu displays that could withstand direct sunlight and high visitor volumes. Peerless-AV supplied six 55″ Xtreme™ High Bright Outdoor Displays (XHB554) mounted in portrait with corrosion-resistant Outdoor Wall Mounts (ESF655P), and one 65″ MaxHub LCD display on the patio. Indoors, five 43″ MaxHub displays were mounted behind the bar using Peerless-AV ceiling solutions, including CMJ470 Ceiling Plates, AEC0203 Extension Columns, PLCM-2 Tilt Boxes, and PLP-UNL Adaptors.
With installation managed by Innovative Sales Solutions Inc., the system went live before the fair’s opening without disrupting operations. A hardwired setup was selected to ensure reliability in a high-demand environment.
The result was a 100% increase in customer flow and faster order processing, as guests could view real-time menus before reaching the counter. The digital solution allowed for rapid content updates, better adaptability to demand, and a more modern guest experience—paying off the initial investment within the first year and positioning LuLu’s for continued success at future fairs.
Outside of the success of the installation itself, LuLu’s was also pleased with the excellent customer service received, as well as the quality and competitive pricing of the products, which helped ensure that everything ran smoothly throughout the busy fair period. Catching the attention of other fair vendors, more businesses are considering similar digital signage solutions for the 2025 season.
